I am very seriously considering doing a teach abroad program in Thailand, and there are 2 choices of where to go: Chiang Mai and Hua Hin.

I've done a bit of research on it, and it seems like Chiang Mai is probably the better fit for me since I'm not really a beachy person and I really enjoy nature and have seen that there are mountains in Chiang Mai.

Can anyone tell me the pros and cons? Especially someone from Thailand? I know that you're out there!

Thanks!

My friends were in Chang Mai. I am planning on going on a trip there too. There is a lot of nature there which is something I really injoy.  If nature is something you love, Chang Mai is a good choice.

I live in Thailand, both of the choices you mentioned are good ones. If you can get the same pay in chang mai, your standard of living will be higher.

I actually read the email that had the link to all the information and those are just the orientation sites. Placements will be all over the country, and pay will be between $720 and $800 (27,000 baht or so)...and I won't be paying for housing either so that saves me money.
