According to Holocaust believers, at Treblinka the Nazis allegedly buried 900 thousand bodies in 6 alleged mass graves, dug them back up, burned the bodies, then threw the remaining bones and teeth in these same 'mass graves' and then covered the millions of pounds of evidence with a layer of soil and effectively magically obliterated all evidence of any murder whatsoever. That's right, the Nazis simply put a layer of soil over 6 'huge mass graves' containing millions of pounds of bone fragments and tens of millions of teeth and 'utterly eradicated' the largest cemetary in Poland. What kind of childish fool could believe such nonsense? According to holocaust researchers, 900 thousand were killed and buried at Treblinka, 600 thousand at Belzec, 250 thousand at Sobibor, and 150 thousand at Chelmno with a total of 54 mass graves and nearly 2 million total Jews - that's an entire third of the alleged holocaust. Do you really believe that 2 million bodies could disappear without a single trace?? If the story was true, there would be ~6.6 million pounds of remains and ~29 million teeth buried at Treblinka. ~4.4 million pounds of remains at Belzec, ~1.8 million at Sobibor, and ~1.1 million at Chelmno. By the way, that's millions of pounds of remains, not ashes: "The ash content of a human body makes up about 5.6% of the body's weight;[114] given a 132 lb. body, this comes to 7.3 lbs. The ashes from the 875,000 burned bodies [at Treblinka] would thus have weighed 6,387,500 lbs. The total quantity of ashes - wood ashes plus human ashes - would therefore have weighed almost 4,000 metric tons, or 8.6 million pounds, all of which (according to the witnesses) were then mixed with the soil and thrown back into the pits.[115] Even if this quantity of ash had been mixed with the roughly 3.53 million cubic feet of soil excavated from the burial pits, it would be easy to find evidence for human remains of the quantity alleged by the witnesses. It must also be noted that in the incineration of corpses under the conditions specified by the witnesses, the bones would not have turned to ash, but would have remained as bones." http://funeralplan.com/funeralplan/cremation/cremationprocessing.html "Once the bone fragments have been separated from the other material, they may be further processed to reduce the size of the bone fragments to uniform particles. Cremated remains, depending on the bone structure of the decedent, will weigh between three and nine pounds" Yeah, one doesn't put a body in an oven and magically get a pile of ashes 10 minutes later, there are bone fragments that must be pulverized and this matter has weight. Furthermore, the bodies were allegedly burned on open-fire pits so they were probably even heavier: imagine overcooking and burning a 135lb steak. According to Holocaust believer and Israeli Historian Yitzhak Arad's book - BELZEC, SOBIBOR, TREBLINKA: "The camp command was confronted with the problem of disposing of the large piles of ash and bits of bone that remained... Ultimately it was decided to dump the ash and bits of bone into the ditches that had previously held the bodies and to cover them with a thick layer of sand and dirt... [Eyewitness] Abraham Goldfarb relates: ...'we secretly placed in the walls of the graves whole skeletons and we wrote on scraps of paper what the Germans were doing at Treblinka. We put the scraps of paper into bottles, which we placed next to the skeletons. Our intention was that if one day someone looked for traces, they could indeed be found.'" Unsurprisingly not one single bottle was found, nor was one single ounce of human remains found at Treblinka. But has anyone tried? The answer is YES. There were THREE attempts to locate graves at Treblinka: - On August 1944 the Soviets carried out a thorough forensic investigation at Treblinka and found only refuse pits with burned and unburned trash. NO GRAVES WHATSOEVER. - On November 1945 the Poles excavated "where, according to the witness, a mass grave was supposed to exist" - unsurprisingly, NO GRAVES WERE FOUND. This was presented by the Soviets at Nuremberg as document USSR-344 stating "During the work on the terrain, I found no mass graves" - On October 1999 a team lead by qualified electronics engineer Richard Krege used a $250 thousand ground penetrating radar over alleged 'huge mass graves' and found NO MASS GRAVES. Three strikes and you're out, those 900 thousand alleged Jews must have NEVER EXISTED As for Sobibor: - In 2001 a Polish archaeologist Andrzej Kola carried out excavations and drillings at Sobibor and has released no documentation on the excavation and drilling and made no mention of finding human remains. - In Summer 2008, a team led by Richard Freund mapped the surface of the camp using electromagnetics, magnetometry, and ground-penetrating radar equipment and found alleged 'gas chambers', items from the inmate's daily life, artifacts from the railway, but no mention of one single mass grave or one single ounce of human remains. Odd seeing as they mapped "the entire Sobibor concentration camp" and located such items as "woman's curling iron, pieces of the heels of boots, scissors, a shovel, and many other artifacts" - but no bodies. Regarding Belzec, the excavation by Andrzej Kola, unsurprisingly, doesn't show any human remains. He took 236 drilling samples and published 137 of them, and only two of them are designated as containing "human corpses". Remember, Belzec supposedly contains 600 thousand dead Jews. Excavations in 1988 were done at Chelmno with bones only making up a "few percent" in one single sample. Another excavation came in 2003-04 but, unsurprisingly, no in-depth paper was ever published about the results. I wonder why?. Once again, none of the alleged 'mass graves' at Chelmno have ever been shown. So livewire, I don't get it. 2 million alleged bodies buried in 54 precisely known 'huge mass graves' and not one single percent of these remains has ever been shown. Do you guys really believe that 2 million bodies can magically disappear without a trace? Almost 15 million pounds of remains and not one single mass grave at any of these 4 camps has ever been thoroughly excavated? NO MASS GRAVES = NO HOLOCAUST There is no such thing as an undetectable mass grave. Post edited at 2:31 pm on May 20, 2012 by kidd rune

The locations were given by the alleged eyewitnesses, the very ones who make the claims in the first place. You can't pick and choose what nonsense you want to believe when they're full of shit to begin with. There's no proof at all that Treblinka, Sobibor, Belzec, or Chelmno were extermination camps in the first place, the lack of remains just closes the deal.

Locating the graves has proven difficult because of Jewish issues with disturbing graves. Because you have to walk on eggshells around Jews when it comes to the Holocaust, you can't use a lack of evidence as evidence of absence. Not that you should in any case, in the first place.
