I am 5'11, about 260 pounds, and for the first time in my life, I actually am really motivated to get in shape. The problem is, I have very few people in my life who will offer me words of encouragement, or can speak from the experience of it being REALLY hard for them to lose weight.

I really need some support here you guys. Can I do this?

yeah you can do this, you always seem to have quite the positive mindset regarding your life and if you're motivated you can def do it

I had a friend who was about my height (six one) but 300 pounds and he lost like 150 in a whole summer. Mad running and stuff caused it and I got to see the transformation, now dude is like in really great shape

Baby steps! Try for little successes before you try to tackle big goals.

Mine was to buy an exercise ball and work out clothes. I bought the damn ball, it scares me. Next step is to sit on the damn thing.  After that, running shoes.

Easy small steps before big ones. And reward yourself. And feel good about what you're doing for your body and mind! It's not a race to the skinny, It's about being healthy and happy. You're gonna do great!
