suddenly every news story about some person or parent killing or injuring their child, missing children, movies with violence against children depicted or even implied
makes me feel almost physically sick and/or distressed

i never used to be this easily influenced, let alone upset.

so it's terrible. having kids makes you care about everything more so don't do it.

you might as well just get your reproductive organs removed.

I read a story recently about a 2 month old who died from cardiac arrest. When the parents took him to the hospital he was covered in bug bites. And the cops found bugs and feces all over their house.

What make it crazier is they had a 4 month old that died in 2010.

inspiration for this topic was a woman who put her one year old in a bucket as "punishment" because its crying interrupted her skype call to some guy and he told her to, and it drowned.

i can't even fathom who would do that

i don't understand

Too late, unfortunately. I am already freaked out just reading the pregnancy/baby books.

It's all about basically watching your kids. Alot of the stories are about the moms leaving the kids with their boyfriend or the dads with their girlfriend or a "trusted" family member/friend. When I jave kids, other than my parents, no one is allowed to have my kid when I'm not around. It is as simple as that.

I'm already freaked out, so might as well make it worth while with having a kid.

Although I get your point. I've hit the point where I'm leaving it up to God/Fate. If I'm meant to be a mother, then I will be. If not, then I'll be infertile.
