There is no such thing as a bad word. Words only have the power you give them when you hear them, some people are unable to control themselves and therefore expect everyone else to censor themselves.

My school couldn't even give us detention until middle school (6th grade) so wtf. But I agree that Hell should not be a bad word, in some cases. It's a place, whether its real or not, so speaking about the place, it shouldn't be bad. But if it's being used by an elementary school student as a profanity ("What the hell") then it's understandable.

Because the word serves a purpose. Swearing holds intensity values. Fuck is considered one of the higher levels, Hell is low-moderate. Hell is especially useful and is far more PG-13 and thus acceptable when doing the "what the" phrase.
Typically, people only use profanity because they have such underdeveloped vocabularies that they don't know any better words to use. They think it makes them sound cool or smart, when all it really does is make them sound like uneducated trash.

I hold a far more extensive vocabulary than most people my age in the province and possibly the nation. Swearing and education level indication are mutually exclusive. In fact, educated people swear at an equal or greater amount than others. It serves as an indicator of expression and emphasis, particularly of emotion or stress.
By saying what you said, you have shown yourself to be uneducated, and from your earlier posts, especially showing yourself as a republican, you have also shown yourself as trash.
Suck on that.
