I've been watching the dog adoptions. It's July and there are six eligible. No new dogs were posted.

What is going on here? Why are there no new adoptable dogs being posted? Why were there only 100 of the 600 cats? I understand it takes time to process them/train and prepare them, but NONE have been posted.

Any other explanations? They refuse to release euth. statistics, but I don't want to get my panties twisted about animals being put down. I don't know if they're inflating numbers by including the Strays or the animals who aren't adoptable or what.

*These are all the animals at all the locations, including foster homes and businesses that foster.

this is EXACTLY what they are doing. check out Nathan Winograd's books, and he details his experiences as a shelter director for some odd years. he witnessed his own shelters, and others he worked with, inflating the numbers by including strays and ferals that were never eligible for adoption and that were even taken back by their owners. it's one of the reasons that people think overpopulation is such a huge problem.
