Why is my image basket wiped out?

Given, I haven't been "active" on the boards on this site in a long time, yet I've still logged on within the past month. I went to look at the old pictures in my albums to find a page that said "You have not uploaded any images yet". I had at least four or five albums full of pictures, some of which I no longer had saved because my old computer crashed. I don't expect any way to get them back, but I'm just curious as to how this happened?

Positive. I for sure remember logging on the day after I was done with school, which was May 12th. And I firmly believe I logged on a little bit after that. But I guess it doesn't matter now, they're gone.
