I need a few comments and opinions on Stem Cell Research. As most of you probably know that Stem Cells are Cells that have the potential to divide further into any type of Cell in the Human body. And through Stem Cell Research, Scientists have been trying to obtain the Stem Cells [Embryonic, adult(somatic cells in different tissues), and Induced pluripotent (by genetically reprogramming human skin cells into embryonic stem cell types) ] and utilise them for treating plethora of different diseases like Cancer, Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Diabetes etc. And even to stimulate certain physiological processes within the body by activating the natural growth factors for example in wound healing and hair growth to treat baldness.
There are certainly many pros and cons regarding the sources and the method of utilising and further prospects and consequences of treatment. But I want to have a general view point...

have you looked at f1000.com? they have a lot of good papers that have been recommended by specialists in scientific fields.

also, annual reviews probably has a bunch of reviews on the science behind stem cells.

aside from that i would look for opinion pieces in nature, science, cell, etc. other major high impact journals. those opinion pieces will have been written by people who know what they are talking about, rather than sources like ny times, the economist, and other mainstream journals.

I agree with Praise the Lard.

There are a lot of good scientific review papers regarding the uses and advancements on stem-cell therapies.

If you want to read some let me know, and I'll gladly help find some for you
