I am thinking of starting to do sit ups to loose belly fat. I just don't want to loose it elsewhere. If I loose belly fat will I loose it elsewhere as well? Including the boob area?

Fat? Yes. You lose fat over all.

If you want to target muscle building, and toning in a certain area, then you can do that via certain exercises, like sit up.

Spot reduction myth - crunches won't make your stomach lose fat. Cardio and gaining lean muscle mass will make you lose fat, but overall fat, not in one specific area.

good answer. Sit-ups will not help you loose fat in any one area. however i would assume you would want to tone that area for when you do loose the fat. That it will do for you

Sit ups help you strengthen your core, so doing them throughout your weight loss period will help you get stronger overall.

Plus, lean muscle helps burn an additional thousand or so calories a day, so a healthy cardio/strength training combination will deliver the results that you desire. Stomach exercises without cardio may actually end up making you appear bloated.

Strength exercises like deadlifts, bent rows, squats, even bench press generally work the abs better than crunches. Only at heavy weights though

Muscle actually only burns 3-7 more calories a day than fat (per pound).. but strength training with heavy weights burns a lot of calories.

Muscle burns far more than just 3-7 calories/day per pound. On a woman, the average is around 500-750. For men, it's higher.

The actual act of strength training burns a great amount of calories, yes. You also continue to burn calories for hours after your work out.

Not necessarily.
You can do other torso workouts to strengthen your core without having to lift weights like that.

I said 3-7 more cal per pound than fat does. The metabolic increase from exercising your muscles heavily is unrelated to muscle mass. Muscle mass itself burns 3-7 more cal a day per pound than fat, while idle.

Yeah, there's no such thing as losing weight JUST in one area. It's all over, and your body automatically "chooses" where to grab fat to burn from. With that said, I gather that you're afraid your boobs will decrease in size if you start losing weight, huh? Well, what would you rather have...a fit figure with smaller boobs or a thicker figure with boobs made up of fat (not attractive, in my opinion).

Ok, you said there's no such thing as loosing weight in one area, but I see people with a flat stomach, and they have weight elsewhere still. There legs, arms, butt and boobs. How is that possible? Just wondering. And the girls in WWE or any other wrestling. They all have flat stomachs, but there not skinny all over. Just using them as examples. But even a girl thats not a wrestler, I seen so many with flat stomachs and there not skinny elsewhere.
