In relation to GPA, I graduated with a 5.15555555555... GPA on a 6.0 scale. For the first two years of high school, I was stuck on the 5.0 scale until I moved into advanced classes. Before I got into advanced classes, I had about a 4.8 GPA

Is that mildly impressive to colleges? And no, my published transcript has an unweighted GPA on it. It said I had around a 3.982/4.0

colleges typically adjust it since so many different schools do different GPA systems

MILDLY?  What do you mean mildly?  I graduated with a 3.8 GPA and was in the top 10% of my class.  I didn't know you even COULD get a five-point-something, and always strove for that elusive 4.3 GPA.

It's okay to brag about this.  I would, but then again I was always one of the straight-A students, on the Student Council, and a bit of a troublemaker.

On a 4.0 scale that seems to be around a 3.437.

I think it's decent. Nothing amazing, but certainly better than most I'd say. If you could aim for a 3.5 that would be better.

This, that is just a little bit below average of what people normally get.

For those of you saying it's a 3.4, It's not. The unweighted 4.0 scale GPA on my transcript says I had a 3.9815.

3.9815/4 =/= 5.15/6

So I don't really know how your school is working their GPAs, and thus it's pretty impossible to comment on what colleges may or may not think.

Well, if you get a 100 in a non-advanced class, that goes down as 5.0 points on your weighted GPA. Since 90-100 is an A, it goes down as 4.0 points on your unweighted GPA. If you get a 100 in an advanced class, it goes down as 6.0 points on your weighted GPA. However, it still counts as 4.0 points on your unweighted GPA.

Because I had a mix of non-advanced and advanced classes, I have a low weighted GPA, but a high unweighted GPA.

Well, most colleges don't give two shits about weighted GPAs, they don't even want to hear what they are.

So, no, your weighted GPA won't be impressive to anyone most likely, since they won't even know what it is.

Your unweighted is really the only thing that matters.
