If the kids were expelled from all of the schools then they would be forced to go to a shitty alternative school with all the kids that got kicked out for drug dealing, smoking on school grounds, and all of that dumb crap. Then they would be mixed up in that.
Why should the school care? If they have kids under their supervision who are disruptive and abusive to others, their only option is to kick them out for the sake of everyone else. Honestly, the ones who care about this shouldn't be the school, it should be the students and parents. And if they don't care, I bet you anything the school won't be able to get them to care and whatever effort in doing so is a big waste of time and money.
They wouldn't learn anything. Everyone deserves a GOOD education.
Everyone does deserve it, but you're trying to shove an education down their throats at the expense of everyone else. Fact is, they're getting their education but they choose to throw it away. They had their opportunity, what else can one do? Forcing them won't help anyone, it'll only annoy teachers and other students, possibly harm learning by their presence where they don't give a fuck and encourage others to not give a fuck. I say to hell with them if they're to be expelled. They had their chance. If the streets is where they go as a result of expulsion, so be it. The school will be all the better for it. The street is where trash like in that video belong.
Suspending them from the bus is a logical punishment for this. Then they would have to deal with their parents frustration and disappointment every day.
I actually agree. I think expulsion would be too much personally, but at the same time, I can accept a school's decision to expel over this and see their point.
Or walk. These kids already have to deal with scorn from strangers on a daily basis and threats sent to their homes.
Also agree, about walking. The scorn from strangers is just what you get for being a dick and totally deserved, it shouldn't factor into any punishment given to them over what they did. Post edited at 12:31 pm on June 23, 2012 by Bud2400

They did not throw away their chance at an education. They didn't know that they could get in such serious trouble for this. And they wouldn't have had the person recording had their camera put away. You don't know if these kids were doing well in school or not. Once you get in a classroom its much different from on the bus, especially if you have a bus driver who lets you do whatever you want. I've never been on a bus where people weren't total assholes because they feel free to say what they want to say. In class kids in general calm down even if they are assholes in other places so you can't judge these kids by what they do in a place where they usually do what they want without being punished. Because once they get to school, this kind of behavior can lead them to getting suspended. They aren't trash. They are just kids doing what kids usually do but this time its on camera so everyones mad.

"What kids usually do" huh? Then how come I never did that? Or any of my friends? Or anyone I know? God that is the dumbest argument in the book.

You didn't because you are obsessed with Jesus and were raised differently. I bullied, my friends bullied, the kids in my neighborhood bullied. No matter the city, the state, the school, there was bullying. Its just what kids do. I was making fun of gays before I knew what being gay was. I was making fun of fat people before I became friends with a fat girl. With life experiences people change. I was bullied by a group of girls in high school before they realized everyone was different and they apologized to me a year later. When you're a Jesus lover its easy to avoid meeting people like this.

I mostly went to integrated schools and attended a primarily white high school but nice try.

So the problem is the fact that races are forced to be around each other, and the problem would be solved by racial separation? Interesting. Do you believe White people have a moral right to living space and self government?

No. There was no tension in the school between races. They were just kids being kids. Its part of life.
