i recently changed my pc's motherboard, from an hp p7-1037c's motherboard to a asus M5A88-M and don't know what connection to make to the computer to make it boot up. I can only get it to boot up with pushing the memok! button on the motherboard. i am using the q-connector i recieved with the motherboard.

Download the manual, it shows you  - bottom right, next to the SATA connectors. The precise pins are shown on page 2-29.

my connections are different from those connections shown in the manual. i don't have 2 pin connectors instead i have a 9pin connector and a 4pin connector from my power button panel i also have usb cables on the hp case but i don't need those because i believe their used for the usb port and headphones jack on my old hp motherboard. the manual shows cables i don't have on my pc case, i hope i get help with this because i have been starting up my computer by having to press the memok! button on the motherboard. please i don't want to have to go to a technician and pay $$$ for this simple connection and i'm not sure i can use this hp case for my asus motherboard.

You should be able to just put that 9-pin guy right onto the front panel pins on the mobo.
