I love it.

Of course, the one you are looking at is shit tons better than my old one, but it's given me 4 years of no trouble (except a little overheating, but it's old like I said.)

To keep it simple: i7 + 8GB DDR3 RAM on a decent motherboard and integrated graphics card?

What's not to love. But if you're considering that, the upper end DV7 has the same specs but a 17.3" screen, Blu-ray, and 10.5 hours of battery life (so like, 3 hours of actually doing something amirite?)

Not an AMAZING gaming computer, but it can run a majority of games out there with recommended settings. Watching movies is the shit because it has built in WiDi so you can hook it up wirelessly to a TV

I found the computer on walmart.com for 698 refurbished. I figured it'd be a good buy I just didn't want to get it and go to play a movie and have it not look all that good or go to play sims 3 and have it lag or not have great graphics

just make sure that it is the exact same model down to the letter. retail establishments sometimes have a habit of missing a couple so when you actually get the product, the specifications aren't what are described in the hp website. I learned mine the hard way, getting bestbuy to configure it, now i can't even use the touch buttons
