Really though, this comes down to the whole "Southern Baptist" debate. I also think it's a Catholic thing. Some people believe that once you've been "saved," you can practically act however you want. I mean you can't go out and kill people or any of that, but if you make a minor mistake you're supposed to be fine. However, the more strict baptist sects believe that you have to pray for forgiveness every single time you commit a sin, or you'll go to hell. For example. My church believes that if you had been a devout Christian for most of your life, and if you were driving along in a car and all of a sudden another car came speeding right at you, and you said "oh shit" before that car hit you, you would go to hell if you died. Just because you used profane language. I guess it just depends on which type of Christian you are. Basically Catholics and the relaxed Protestants believe that if you've been saved, you can make a few mistakes. But if you grew up in a church like mine, you sure as shit better not make a single mistake, or you'll be damned for all eternity.
