A long time ago I used to be for this but I think it's a bad idea. It would just make it easier for someone to try to shut someone up if they are losing a debate or being criticized in their own topic. Let the people talk. If something like this were to happen I think a mod should have the power to block members from topics, not the OP themselves. 
It happens on facebook.
Facebook is different. Everyone is entitled to their own page there. They can regulate whatever they want. However here topics are seen as a more commutative effort. People should be able to voice there opinion or else what's the point? What makes up for facebook being able to do that is that there are other things you can do or other places you can go.
I meant it as.... If you always get shit from a particular person, no matter what you post, you should have the ability to block them from seeing you post.
I also said youtube after.

Seriously, this is getting fucking annoying. People I hate keep posting and egging me on and I dont have the willpower to ignore them.
Fuck debate or anything, this is a teen forum based around sex, drug use and being hipsters.
If someone doesnt want to see that shit, or someone being a complete whore or a bitch, then you should have the right to not see their posts, especially if you block them
There's a reason you block them: They get you mad. If you see their posts and they can post in your general direction, what the fuck is the use of the block function? It's rendered completely meaningless!
