Anyway. Earlier this week  I heard my son crying/whimpering from his bedroom. It was 2am, so he shouldn't have been up. I walk in and my cat is straddling my sons face, attempting to hump his face... Like.... His FULL body was smothering my sons face, and i'm sure his prickly slimy penis was on his face. *vomits*

As soon as I made eye contact with my cat, he took off running. I screamed at him...

My boyfriend heard the commotion and asked what happened. I then told him what I seen. My boyfriend then became enraged and tried to catch the cat. The cat is obviously too tricky or fast for him, because he was running behind objects, extra. Since my boyfriend couldn't catch him he just became more enraged.

My boyfriend finally caught him... and he started strangling my cat (I was screaming at him not to hurt him), and then he threw him across the room. My cat landed on the floor (hard) and wasn't moving (I think out of fear) because he is fine.

I told my friend about this, and she totally flipped out on me... She told me my boyfriend deserved to get arrested, she told me i'm an idiot to stay with him, she told me that unless I get him fixed (my cat), i'm not allowed to talk to her anymore. I haven't since. I don't like people giving me ultimatums...

Yes. I realize my cat is a cat. He doesn't have morals.. extra. Although, I feel he knew what he was doing was wrong. He took off as soon as he seen me. He has tried to hump me and my boyfriend before, I whacked him. He didn't try since...

Obviously I need to get him fixed, and I take full blame for that. I've had many boy cats before and NEVER had this issue although.

My question at hand is in the title... Is my friend overreacting, or am I underacting? She REALLY pissed me off with how she spoke to me and about my boyfriend.

Just making it clear, I did NOT approve of my BF handling the cat that way. He was mad, I was mad. I was livid but I wouldn't have done what he did :/
