Wait. Okaaayy, so we don't have a kitchen stadium. Or Iron Chefs for you to be competing against. Essentially you're just competing against each other. I think there are like two chefs on this website.
Does anyone here even have a chef hat?
There is no timing besides before the contest deadline, the dish doesn't have to be original.
I don't even have an outfit (or a pepper) like Chairman Kaga :( even though I can yell "ALLEZ! CUISINEZ!" really loudly.
But there is a theme ingredient! You do get extra points for creativity and originality and skill.
Rules
Yes, this is a cooking contest, and you are required to use a specific ingredient. We require a photograph, description of and recipe of your entry. You will be judged on creative use of an ingredient, skill, originality and presentation. Pictures must include your username or your entry won't be counted. :( No more than 3 dishes/entries per member.
Secret ingredient? IT'S CHICKEN. and it's not changing >:(
You are required to use chicken as your theme ingredient. If you're vegetarian you may use a fake chicken or worst comes to worst, tofu, to stand in, but use it in place of chicken in a chicken themed dish. If you don't like chicken, never fear! I'd like to make this kind of contest a regular thing, so the next ingredient might be more your thing.

Carie, Ashley, and I do real Iron Chef's all the time. We've done: curry, lime, and plum (that I can remember) with another one coming up in November probably.
I've been waiting for someone to do a contest like this. I have some chicken dishes in my image basket from our previous Iron Chefing. Can I just use one of those?

Also, for the non chicken eaters out there, what's the chance of the next contest beginning before the end of this one?
It's possible but I wouldn't say I'd start a new one until November. I understand some people don't like chicken/don't like cooking with chicken, and depending where you live it can also be pretty pricey, but it's a common easy to find thing to start us off.
I will definitely be taking suggestions for November's Iron Chef for the theme ingredient!

Since there are members who can verify it's yours, I would be okay with that. Your submission post still needs to include the recipe and a summary, but go for it.
Also, and I'll amend this in the OP, I doubt there will be a real need for an entry limit, but keep it below 3 dishes.
