You probably have viruses, but don't know it becuase norton doesn't detect viruses. Neither does mcaffe. They just slow your computer down, and empty your wallet.

Nope, I have no viruses and it does detect viruses.....

Not having them doesn't mean that Norton or McAffe aren't garbage. Let's check out causality shall we?

If you personally don't have a virus, and use Norton or McAffee, that can means that you're careful enough on the net and actually know what you're doing.

In fact, if you've neer gotten a virus, that probably means Norton/McAffee isn't doing anything, because any antivirus software should always tell you if it blocked something, or else I'd be _very_ suspicious of it.
So, obviously you don't need Norton or McAffee by that logic.

Besides, by having non-maintstream anti-virus, you actually protect yourself better. Nearly all antivirus software uses similar virus definitions, and cover the registery and such, they just go about it slightly differently. Well, because mainsteam antivirus IS mainstream, most viruses will be built to avoid them.

Besides that though, Norton and McAffee are real crap to boot- they're VERY slow and bloated, and in my opinion impair your system more than most viruses would. I know one guy who couldn't even install Firefox because of Norton no matter what settings he used, even when he told Norton to supposedly turn off!
