ESP has been widely documented through history, im not saying that because its documented its true, just saying that perhaps there is some truth behind the las vegas style shield of clairvoyancy.

as for whether it can be passed on genetically, why not? there are plenty of traits that are passed on through genes so yes its possible.

ok my post is relevant only if we assume that ESP exists.

If we assume ESP exists, it might be passed genetically.

Of course, if we assume the ability to turn your right arm into a giant metal chipmunk exists, that might be genetic too.

I havent read the thread, but I'd still like to throw in my two cents.

I do believe in ESP, and not in a New Age ish way. And I'd like to point out that the "scientific tests" they've had for it, are deeply flawed, and shows a lack of understanding for what ESP-believers claim ESP to be. At least that's the case for the experiments I've heard of, from my psychology classes.

ESP's a very personal and volatile ..occurence. Testing arbitrary occurences with almost no significance whatsoever, such as random card draws, are pointless and stupid. It does not take into account of the "vibes" (ack why must i resort to using such words) that are essential during ESP.

This is also "why psychics don't quit their jobs and go win the lottery".

Admittedly, it'd be extremely difficult to test in a scientific way, if not impossible. But i'm just asking for this flaw to be recognised.

And yes, 99% of people who believe ESP are probably just clueless dipshits. <3

+1

Absolutely.  ESP is real.  People can't see/understand/accept that, and it IS being covered up, because we can't really explain how something like this works (that might not be the REASON, but it's an issue).

I find it to be a remarkable shame that the word limit in the intellectual forum prevents me from responding with a simple "sigh" without cheating.

Is there any proof that ESP doesn't exist?

How about the 6 figure rewards out there for people who can prove they have ESP under controlled conditions?

James Randi Educational Foundation has a $1 million prize for someonew who can show they have powers under controlled conditions. No takers.

International Zetetic Challenge has also not been met

Could you elaborate on that last point about "we just don't use all of it at any given time."?
