Man are suppose to carry the burdens of the family. Why should I do this? Is not one person responsible for him or herself? Does not one person have the right to be selfish? Why must I die for her? NO I just emphasis on equality. For example, if the family cant support itself economically, that isnt the man's fault, its the family's fault.

As well, if the woman cheats on the man, the man has the right to fully blame the woman, instead of asking if he had done something wrong to cause her to do this.

I am just saying its unrealistic to expect man to be so considerate, loving, and responsible.

Superman, your post vascillates between not liking the Bible's rules because it doesn't offer equality between the sexes and not liking the Bible's rules because it doesn't make you a dominant sex god to whom all women must bow.

It's pretty sick that you want your gf to treat you as a god. But you are aware that the Bible says women are to submit to man right? But the Bible also says to love them as Christ loved the Church. I don't see why you have such a problem with that.

This really says alot about you. One trate of a Christian is to be selfless. Why would you not want to die for the one you loved. Yahshua did it, why can't you? And it says to love her anough that you would die for her, you know if she were in trouble. Why would you not want to sacrifice your life for hers if you were to truely love her? The Bible doesn't tell men to be pushovers, but it also tells them to love their wifes and to treat them with respect.

So you're saying that the roles that men and women play are equal, but different? That is, roughly, the position of many Christians.

Your position diverges in that you consider the woman's role to be existing as an item representative of a man's own glory, and that you consider a man's roll to be glorious. If you want a woman to praise you as glorious, and you are praising her for being a shiny bauble to dangle before the world as a measure of your worth as a man, I would hardly call that equal.

No, I don't see the equality in one member of the partnership being, at best, a pet, at worst, an object.
