If I eat 1500 cals a day and burn then all off by biking. and that would leave me with 0 cals for the day, can I lose weight like this and not gain?

Hmm, I guess so, but I would think you'd have to burn more calories than you eat, rather than the exact amount you ate, you know? But I don't know.

You need a certain about of calories a day just to keep your body running. It depends on if your a guy or a girl. Activity and exercise uses up more calories, so if you don't eat enough to fill those requirements, your body will use fat as fuel, so you loose weight.

the average is 2000 cals a day so mostly anything less than that the body burns off it self

you don't need to burn off all those calories in exercise. Your body is burning calories all day, like if you sit around doing nothing all day, your body probably burns around 1800 cals or more (depends on the person). So you only need a little exercise if you decrease your calories to 1500.

Well the body needs 2000 calories a day and anything over that turns into fat. You will definitely lose weight.

You can't predit that you'll lose EXACTLY 1500kcals from biking. Doesn't work like that. Someone gains or loses weight over a week, not one day.

i think it's safe to say if you burn all the calories you eat that you will lose weight. because it's basically as if you're eating nothing. but it would make more sense to watch the fat content instead of calories.
------- Every night in my dreams i see you, i feel you. That is how i know you go on.

you burn off calories just from being alive, so this would make you lose weight dangerously quickly.
