I work with the student programming board and we work with RAs a lot.  I always find that they want to do good events in their dorm but never really have any ideas so I always try to share ideas with them so I don't have to plan as many events and they can do great things with their dorm.  I started putting them on my website (below) but some ideas I had were shower flip-flop decorating, green living contests and taste of town parties :).
