What about the ones who self harm and want to stop but just can't. Like a drug.

It might sound retarded but where's the help for them. If they don't want to tell anybody but they want to stop because they don't want people to find out yet they want to keep doing it because it helps the pain then how do they stop???

I self hurt. I have an older sister that takes care of me now.
The rule is that NOBODY is allowed to hurt her baby sister.....INCLUDING HER BABY SISTER!!!
The key for me is honesty. We have a deal that everybody should have I think. NO FIBBING EVER. Even if it means Im going to be punished. I don't know about everybody else but self hurting is NOT the same thing as the hurt you feel when somebody else hurts you....
My sister has only had to do it 2 times and she HATES to do it, but the last 2 times I hurt myself she spanked me. HARD. Removing the thngs that I hurt myself with definitely helps but we all know if you really want to hurt you can find a way. The consequence I HATE the MOST and has kept me from hurting myself A MILLION times is she hires a babysitter to be with me 24/7.  I CRY AND CRY I'm tooooooo olddddddd for a babysitterrrrrrrrr......HER REPLY........NOBODY HURTS MY BABY SISTER....INCLUDING MY BABY SISTER.....so until I can show her I can be trusted not to hurt myself again a babysitter is with me any time my sister cant be.

Don't know if any of that helped anybody but I wanted to share what works for ME

i need a little help with this fast. wednesday...i cut myself multiple times on my arm, lightly, with a razor. i did it to find out how my friends could cut themselves...i still dont know how... now, i am feeling slightly depressed, and my mind is so weird, it has turned it into a positive thing, making my body feel that the pain will feel good. luckily, i have enough self control that i only cut myself in the bath..which i have wednesdays and sundays. i need help soon, before i slip into the vortex so many here have fallen into.
