sudo apt-get install ndiswrapper ?

either that or sudo apt-get install synaptic(s?)  once synpatic is installed, just open it and search for ndis wrapper.  you shouldn't have to compile it yourself.  it's always a bitch to compile programs.

yeah if you download the actual tar.gz file then you can follow the instructions to compile/install it but that's a hugeee hassle.  most programs have already been put into an installer-type file that's easy to run and is acessible from either of the methods that i showed you.  you got it working?

Once you have an internet connection, open Synaptic and search for and install Ndiswrapper, Synaptic will then download it and all its dependencies and install them.

Although, it is best to avoid using Ndiswrapper if you can, what sort of wireless network card do you have?

In ubuntu, I think there should be some sort of command along the lines of sudo apt-get install ndiswrapper...might not be exactly that though.  Search ubuntu.com or ubuntuforums.org for more detailed tech advice.
