Hello guys.

Many of you know whats wrong with me, and many don't. So, here it is... just so u know, and dont get shocked by my IB when I have a pic of me with Oxygen on...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eisenmenger's_syndrome

I was born a healthy baby. Then, I turned 6 months old... I started getting Bronchitis about 4-6 times every 3 months. When I was 4, they checked my heart, for the first time. They saw something with what they call an Angiogram. ( They put a wire in my leg where it connects to my hip...it sends the wire to my heart and inflats when it finds a space) It found a huge space in my heart. turns out, I have one chamber.. when I am supposed to have 4..
When I was 3, I flat lined (legally dead) 4 times. each over 3 minutes in time. But I survived each time. And I also flat lined for almost 10 minutes when I was 7. I am still alive. I was told that I wouldn't live to be 16.. I am 21.

I turn 20 and find out new things..

My lungs are working for my heart...my lungs do their best to seperate my oxygenated blood from my de-oxygenated blood. (if that makes since)

I need a Heart and double lung transplant.

I am still not on the list for the transplants. The doctors tell me that I am doing too well.

My o2 stats are in the 70's... when the 90's are super low for 'normal' people.

so, thats what is wrong with me.. and everytime I am asked, I will link that person to this topic.. because this is the only time I am going to explain it. On my other name, I was asked all of the time.

I'm so sorry to hear that you went from healthy to having this awful condition   . Too many of us don't appreciate just how good our health is until something bad happens.

I can only hope that you do finally get your transplant. You're a fighter, you've proved that already, and for that I'm so proud of you!

Just to offer you some hope.

Biological engineers, using stem cells, are now able to grow hearts and other major organs with nothing more than a sample tissue and stem cell "IV drip." This means that we can now grow our own organs without waiting on someone to donate them! Effectively, this will speed up wait time and increase the amount of donations to be given to people. They are even able to make a beating heart using a pace maker which "trains" the heart to beat like a normal heart.

So hang in there. =]
