she is totally wrong for punishing you for that. would she rather you suffer in silence?
or let me guess, she wanted you to tell her first? explain to her that she is "too close" to you for you to feel that you could tell her, because that might reassure her and make her feel a bit better about it.

she should not be punishing you for it : you have done nothing wrong, believe me. tell her person at school that you told about how shes reacted and get supprt from them, but make sure its confidential otherwise it could get messy
