I'd get a new computer unless you are against buying something with vista. You could go with a new mac if you don't mind the OS X.

dude, get parts, their cheaper, and if it fails its always smarter and cheaper to build your own PC to your exact needs. btw mac blows. stay away from mac.

Wow, you give bad advice. Making you're own computer is usually not the best idea.

Anyways, get a Mac, they're easy to use, clean, work great, and you won't get viruses. They also have a lower rate of depreciation than PCs.

But get a PC if you want it for gaming etc.

Upgrading will be a lot cheaper, even if you have to replace ram, motherboard, processor and graphics card- you can manage it under $500 and still have a good comp at the end.

I suggest newegg.

Eh, some people are just used to Macs, and some are used to PCs.

If you arent used to a Mac, and you are happy with Windows, keep your PC, simple as that.

If you know what you are doing, building your own PC is going to probably end up cheaper, if you are looking for something high-end.

If you just want a run of the mill office PC, grab something for $350-400 from Dell or Best Buy.
