My best friend is currently getting treatment for anorexia, bulimia, and exercise bulimia. I'm so very proud of her <3

The thing is, I'm not entirely sure what to do about eating. I want to have her spend the night at my house... but my family is big on the family table. My bff has asked me not to tell my mom about her problems (with good reason, my mom is a critical bitch and I know she'd say something hurtful). Does any one have any suggestions on how to get out of the dinner? (My bff will eat in front of me, but she is still uncomfortable eating in front of others.)

Hm, why not go out for a while before you go back to your house, and just say you ate out? And if you haven't, sneak some food to your room after your parents have finished.

I have a kid, I don't have the time or the money to spend at a food place. IMO it would be rude because my daughter naps from around 5 till around 8, and if I wake her up to go out to go out to eat she would be extremely cranky and fussy.

Yes, but you can say you both ate. You don't actually have to.

No, I can't go out. So it's a moot point whether we eat or not :D
