Edit: I'm moving this to TSF, because I would like more thorough responses.

My body is actually a very strange thing, and I don't understand it.

I am constantly hungry. I can eat a full course meal and then be completely starving within the next hour. I have friends who only eat two or three meals a day and are done with it. I'm not exagerating when I say I probably eat six or seven meals a day.

I don't know if it's my metabolism or what, but I feel very strange. As much as I eat you would think one would be obese.

However, I'm actually underweight.
My weight fluctuates, but I range anywhere from 105 - 115. (115 around the holidays )

Anyway, is anyone else like this? Is this unhealthy? What could be wrong with me if so?

Note: I do have dysautonomia, but as far as I'm concerned I don't think it's suppose to make me excessively hungry.

Nah, it's healthy, you just have a very high metabolism. But it will slow down as you get older.

I feel that way sometimes too, and I never gain weight.  I always stay like 150. or something.

maybe it's the food you eat because if it's mostly carbs then it won't keep you full for long

Ps, if you're worried about it go to the doctor, it could be a problem with your thyroid.

I hope not! That's probably likely though if thyroid problems are genetic.

it could be a lot of reasons, most of them no reason to get concerned. A high metabolism, or low blood sugar among them.

Does anything happen when you don't eat? like, do you get shaky or dizzy or ill? Do you feel like you can eat all the time or like you must eat all the time?

Kind of a personal question, but..does everything function the way it should, normal bowel movements etc? if not, you should definitely get that checked out.

Do you know when you feel full? do you feel like your body is responding to the feeling of fullness?

Do you feel sick at all when you eat? Do you over eat to the point of nausea?

Any of those reasons are good reasons to go in to the doctor.

Otherwise, I would not worry about it. you are a very active girl, and you are tiny, you may just need a lot to keep your body running. Just, keep track of how much you are eating, and how you feel when you don't eat etc.

Honestly, I don't think there's much more that can really be said. It could be that you just have a high metabolism, and as barnabas said, you're an active person (I gather this from previous posts I've read of yours) and your body will need more in order to provide all this extra energy. If you're eating healthy then I don't see a problem, y'know? Also, if you feel that you NEED to eat this often or you feel shaky or whatever when you don't, I would also put that down to your busy lifestyle and fast metabolism. It's might be a good idea to get checked with the doctor, to rule out anything that might be a problem.

So long as there's nothing else negative going on health wise, I don't think it's anything to worry about. If you are worried then, of course, visit the doctor and hopefully he/she will clear things up for you.

Hi :) Yeah I pass out very easily due to my dysautonomia. (It's basically just low blood sugar and low blood pressure combined.) Still, I eat more then your average hypoglycemic and should still be overweight. It's a bit concerning to my family.

Yeah, maybe it's just my body. I just worry that it could be harmful to my ammune system in some way. I'm sick all of the time.

Oh, I completely see if why it's concerning if you're sick and passing out easily. Perhaps a wee visit to the doctor might be in order, just to make sure everything is ok? :)
