Nope.  I've used similar though.  gOS seems to simply be Ubuntu Linux with added features for MySpace users.  But since I don't use MySpace much, its a bit useless for me.  Personally, I like LinuxMint, which is Ubuntu with added wireless, graphics, sound, and video support.  

And as for wanting The Sims, you could probably run it through Wine in Linux, which is basically a windows emulator.  Wine allows you to run a bunch of windows programs through Linux.

My cousin bought a gOS PC (not knowingly).

I helped him figure out alternatives for his Windows programs, and get it configured, and he seems pretty happy.

He doesnt really use it for more than web browsing and to put music on his Creative MP3 player, so it didnt take to long to help him get it all figured out.

Its a nice, simple Linux OS, and definitely works for the basic functions.
