He's going to china for 9 months and I'm writing him a short goodbye message. Another friend is organising a book for all the messages to go in :)

Here it is:

Dear 'Ben', I know a person who knows a person who went to live in Beijing (which is in China!) Her comments, after a month of living there was "the air sucks and it's too crowded". Hopefully you find it just as horrid and come back soon :D

Just in case you actually like it out there here's a few tips:
1) Don't drink the water, you will actually DIE
2) Buy me a present - apparently you can get good cheap fake designer stuff :) but you must haggle!
3) Try not to adopt a child, I know all the celebrities are doing it but seriously its more hard work than you realise!
4) In case of a fire dial 119 on your phone
5) Learn Chinese! they don't speak Scotland over there :)

Most of all have the bestest time and come back soon :)
