My parents were the same way. They were'nt racist. Its just the way that our parents were brought up. You just didn't mix black and white. I had to prove to them that I was mature enough to do it, and that now its acceptable. I invited my g/f (Katrina) over for dinner, my step-mom and dad wanted to see if I picked good or what-not. Now, they trust me to make my own decisions, I'm almost 17, will be in August. They havn't let me date until I turned 16. But, I showed them....now they trust me with my decisions. But, they won't let me go on dates until they met the girl. Which is cool and whatever.
