The days of having to sort out household rubbish before collection could be over after scientists created a machine to do it automatically.

Scientists have created the Autoclave system, which divides the waste for recycling on a huge scale and produces enough energy to power itself.

Its inventors, AeroThermal, say that at some point in the future, householders could even sell their rubbish because there is potentially a profit in it.

All steel and aluminium is cleaned during the process, plastics are reduced to recyclable pellets and glass is made reusable.

Wonderful source you've got there. Did the Daily Mail not also report about wireless electricity, and a device which has a higher energy output than input?

It's nice but 15 metric tons an hour is far far too slow for municipal waste disposal for any municipality of a decent size.

That's why you get 10 of them. Besides, this machine isn't designed for municipality usage. It's individual.
