I would like to know is there anyone here who has a disability either mental or physical. Because I have a question for you, whenever you first told your people,friends or family about it. Did you ever try to seem strong about it like it don't bother you that much as people probably think it would?


I notice I often downplay the seriousness of my illness and I just now realize that my cystic fibrosis is probably the cause of my sever depression. I just googled depression and cystic fibrosis and there was just so many web pages on it. Often when I tell somebody about my illness they be like "Oh shit" and I just say it ain't that bad. But now I realize that depression is probably a sure thing if you have cystic fibrosis.

Thats because the person is compassionate enough to try not to worry the other person about your illness. Though you don't have to get into detail and spill your emotions out to everyone, you should talk to someone about your depression. It feels alot better, coming from someone with an anxiety disorder.

I have to many problems to talk to my family about. They don't want to here them all!! If you don't have any one to talk to, then IDK. Maybe you should. It can get really fucked up, and will only keep getting worse, until you decide to do something about it.

I have FOP. I've never really told any of my friends the full extent of my condition. It doesn't bother me that much, sometimes I get upset and have a cry but other than that I just get on with my life.

when I tell people about mine, I tell them "do not feel bad for me". and when I say that, they treat me like normal. but If i dont say it, they treat me like I am fragile
