i don't think so.. the prices here in the Philippines are ranging from 50 pesos(currency here) to 51 pesos per liter... comparing currencies, a dollar there is equivalent to 40 pesos here... assuming a liter there costs 5 bucks, it's equivalent is 200 pesos here, so that is already about 4 liters worth of gas here...

wheew... lots of explanation there..

You kind of fucked up that up lol. Gas is not $5 a liter. Here, it's about $1.10 per liter. And in America, they go by gallons, not liters. Even $5 a gallon is a lot of money.

Serves the weepy bitches right for having such shit cars. God knows you people are prepared to invade another country to ensure healthy oil supplies rather than pass a few laws to restrict energy wastage. The free market has gloriously failed yet again.

When I was learning to drive, gas was 99 cents a gallon. Now it's about 3.50 or more

People are forgetting that in America, things are spaced out ALOT more than in other countries and thus we end up spending alot in gas. Look at a map and see how far things are spaced apart compared to many other countries. Driving to work isn't a simple "hop on the bus" or 10 minute drive but rather an hour and a half ordeal in a fuel-inefficient vehicle (even if you have a pretty efficient one it's still bad).

The lack of fuel efficient cars is down to you guys. If you actually bothered buying them in the first place, rather than 4MPG SUVs, there would be a demand for them and thus more would be imported or manufactured.
