Are you ashamed of relying on your parents so much if you're in college? I can't seem to work and do well in school at the same time. And this is the only school year I've worked the whole year and only part time, although I do work full time in the summers.

Yes, I am.

My parents pay for everything - tuition, books etc. I live with them, also and I don't pay for groceries or rent or anything.

I'm studying abroad next year, so I'll be paying for that, but most of my friends have to pay for their tuition, so I feel kind of like a freeloader.

My parents have been saving for years in order to put me and my siblings through post-secondary, so it's not like they're going broke because of me, but I still kind of feel guilty.

Especially because I'm not studying what they want me to.

What are you studying and what do they want you to study?

I'm studying theatre - acting, writing, directing etc. They want me to get a "real" job. I was going to be an engineer or an architect, both of which my parents approved of, but then I changed my mind.
