When I was little, I got "spanked", it wasn't even anything it was literally a tiny pat on my butt just to scare me (I still struggled lol). It worked when I was little because I knew I was in trouble if that happened, but it definitely did not work in the long run, as I suppose it wasn't suppose to.

but my dad always felt guilty afterwards
