Alright earlier today around 7pm. I got this error message saying that i have a dangerous virus. I've ran my Anti Virus Program 3 times now. I'm on the 4 th. And it still wont get rid of it. I tried to reformat the pc, and it wont let me boot from the cd.

What the hell should i do?

No.It wasnt. Because my anti virus is detecting it, just not getting rid of it.

what do you mean kill it?
Shutting it down wont do any good. I'll never be able to use my computer again.

What antivirus program are you using?  Have you tried a different one?

One program to try is Avast antivirus, because it has a  boot-time virus scanner.  That way, it can scan your hard drive for viruses without the operating system running.  I've used this feature a couple times, and it's definitely helped.

I believe that you may need to restart your computer in Safe Mode in order to delete the virus using the Anti-Virus Program which is detecting it.

To start your computer in safe Mode do the following:
Windows XP

If Windows XP is the only operating system installed on your computer, booting into Safe Mode with these instructions.

   * If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power
   * Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
   * Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
   * Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.
   * Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
   * When you are finished with all troubleshooting, close all programs and restart the computer as you normally would.

Taken from here

Alternatively if the anti-virus software has a Boot time scan feature you may use that.

Try F2 to get into safe mode...its different on some computers.  I know mine's F2.

Here's a couple online virus scanners:  no download necessary.
