Is it one of the V6 or I4 models?  Because a V6 trim (non-svt) is about 170bhp, which is pretty damn good for a little car.  Even the base model I4 engines have more power than my newer Hyundai.  Contours are nothing to be ashamed of, decent little cars.

Still more power than my '01 (01" if I were Cingular, having decent memory for useless details is the best) Hyundai Accent.  At a cheaper price too.  Low miles for a '98.

The power from the I4 is still more than enough power for most drivers.
