He had fucked up ideas about racial purity, he needed a scapegoat. Anti-semetism has been around for hundreds of years, people were against violence initially, but not restriction of Jews.
Theres the age old argument of Hitler being a dictator that didnt dictate, he removed himself from decisions that could cause any dent in his reputation of being a 'messiah'.

Can argue about this for years, I kinda understand what the OP is saying, i obviously don't even beging to understand their actions during power, but i can understand how you could respect it from a political standpoint.
