I have an english paper due tomorrow. We have to write which book (Lord of the Flies or Coral Island) we think is a more realistic account of a group of boys stranded on an island. It should not be a summary of events but rather a thoughtful reflection on the way these pieces were written and the aspects of human nature that are reflected. We should also include some thoughts about the historical events which influenced Golding and consider how the Coral Island led him to feel the need to write his own story.
