If you're buying one you should go with a better body because you can always get a better lens when you come across some extra cash.

The lens is always the priority! The body just holds a few odd parts; it's the lens that determines how sharp, accurate and detailed your images are going to be. One body may offer some feature or other over another, but always put the money into quality lenses.

If you really can't spare money for a great body, then definitely get the better lens. In photography the lens means everything, and having a worse body but a better lens is certainly worth the tradeoff.

yeah, I'm going to agree with this poster. I work at a photo lab, and my brother is a professional photographer [I'm not by any means] and he seems like it's all about the lens. Not to mention he has a Canon XTi, and drops 300-400 in each lens. Considering the camera is only 700-800 itself, eh. well I guess you can decide.
He's a pro with a XTi? Cool, thats the same camera I have.

Hint: instead of clogging up the board with 3 topics, post all questions in the same one... Especially since they're all about photography and cameras.
