I live in between Seattle and Tacoma, but no, I'm not often down there. Even when I do visit Tacoma, though, it's more or less the same as everywhere else I go in terms of the number of fat people I see. Although I will admit, the worst has to be those "Bremelos" in Bremerton.

Maybe it is just the Walmarts in Tacoma...I don't live there.

It depends where you go, but in the main cities it is fairly prolific. The further you move away from them the less it becomes so obvious. These days, more of us are becoming workaholics, so not many get the time to do what they want.

The Gold Coast is populated by mainly the stereotypical young Australian males (tall, tanned slim surfer dude with a six pack) and females (slim, long legs, big titted babes in bikinis). The Gold Coast is NOT representative of the whole Australian population. We have a lot of fat pigs.
I have actually seen two fat pigs about an hours drive from where I live. It was 1 or 2 in the morning, at a petrol station. They were eating donuts and smoking with the servo owner. It was pretty funny at the time, we were drunk. But I agree, gold coast is really separate from the bulk of Australia. I don't think Perth is that bad, but I imagine Sydney and that are.
