try mucinex or hot tea -- wetting a q-tip and running it around in the back of your throat also helps.

I think you may have simple seasonal allergies. The sore throat can be attributed to excess mucus draining from your nose down your throat. Mucus irritates the lining of the throat causing it to become inflamed and sore. The headaches can also be cause from the same allergies, as most often such symptoms as nasal congestion/draining and headaches are tied together. Clearing your nose and throat of the mucus (snot) relieved your congestion and allowed your throat to return to normal, which explains why it hasn't hurt since. Usually with nasal allergies, the sinuses swell and the swelling can result in constricted blood vessels around the nasal area. This constricted blood flow increases the likelihood of nosebleeds/nasal bleeding. When you stand, the rush of blood caused by the change in posture could aggravate your swollen sinuses and cause the pain you are feeling which you describe to be similar to a headache. Keeping in mind that I'm not a trained professional, it would be in your best interest if you monitor your health and seek medical attention if your condition worsens or doesn't go away. I'm just making an educated guess as to what may be causing your troubles.

Seasonal allergies are also a cause of joint/musle soreness in many individuals. However, because you are displaying so many symptoms, I would go to a doctor to get it confirmed, and then get a prescription antihystamine (allergy medication), or purchase an OTC (over the counter) brand such as Claratin or Zyrtec.
