I need to get a new car soon as my volvo isn't going to last much longer, im thinking of either going for a Commodore or Falcon(6cyl Rwd full size sedans) or going for a 4cyl midsize sedan like an Accord or Camry(yeah im not scared of them anymore).

My Volvo is a 4cyl and right now gas isn't that bad(and this is a 27 year old car with 300 miles on it and a crappy 3 speed gearbox) so i could afford a 6cyl, but the 4cyl would be better on the wallet.

Im more leaning towards a 6cyl though becuase i do plan on doing some modifications so its a tricky situation here.

Get a 6 cylinder hybrid.

Never get a 4 cylinder...  These days they don't get much more mileage than the 6's.

Oh?  Go do some research.  Most 4 cylinders get around 30-40mpg, while most of the mid-size 6's (around 3.0-3.5 liters) will get between 20 and 30mpg.  The tradeoff you get in power, personally, makes this decision a no brainer.

If you can settle for 18-20mpg, get a Chevy Trailblazer SS; 6.0L 600hp Chevy LS2 V8.  The torque on that thing is pretty insane.

Oh and you never mentioned a budget. You can probably find a decent 6-cylinder Hybrid for around $25k-$30k?
