Your argument is flawed. Just because you feel you have such an encompassing understanding of the entirety of our existence doesn't mean you do. The legitimacy of a God, in whatever sense it may exist, is something that many people much more intelligent and objective than you could ever disprove or prove.

The idea of God for the sake of the existence of a God may not be useful to you, but it does present a possible explanation for the existence of ourselves as we are today. Sure religion is deeply flawed, but the possibility of a God is something you have no ability to disprove.

I'm not saying there is a God that will strike you down. I'm saying that the possibility of an organizing force is completely possible and impossible to disprove.

I've said it a billion times. There's more to be gained from being immoral (with relation to social norms). This isn't a premise, merely a fact of life.
