As for the speed limits themselves, I would prefer an autobahn type approach. Speed limits just give some jerksoffs the justification to drive 55 in the FAST lane, you won't catch a single soul trying to do that on a road like the Autobahn, unless they had a death wish. 
Oh yeah, that really pisses me off. They're just as much of a problem as the jackass aggressive drivers.

I90 westbound from around Union Station is like the Autobahn in early rush hour. Ever tried to enter into the highway with short space to merge, no space, BMW and Benz amongst other thing going 90mph in the left, and doing this in a 1.6l Hyundai? Scary as hell because they do not break to slow down, nor do they change lanes.
