JROTC is basically a good program. Although I did not have any intentions of going to any military branch after high school, it help instill alot of values in me. I learned how to be a follower and a leader. When I was in the program, I was in the best shape in my life. I learned how to me confident in myself. I basically enjoyed the program overall. I was on the colorguard team as well. The asvab test also is something that will work hand in hand with the JROTC program. If you do well in both you will go into the military branches with a little more rank than a normal person. You are also offered some great incentives for doing well. So all in all the time that you put into the program is well worth it in the long run, especially if you decide to go into the military after high school.
