But while I heartily disapprove of it, that desn't mean it "should be illegal", as hurting yourself does not impinge on the rights of others, and that is the primary concern of govenment.

I voted for it should be illegal because I don't think anyone should afflict pain upon themselves. Hurting yourself is like hurting another person. It just flat out isn't right and you shouldn't do it. No matter how mad or angry you are there are other ways to stop the pain then to cause even more pain to yourself.

how the hell do you make it illegal? Are cops gonna come by your house every now and then and say "show me your wrists?" i remember a little while back someone said that they should make suicide illegal. What are they gonna do if i end my life? Shoot me again? It is impossible to make things like this illegal.  I know that you shouldn't do it but its an addiction. I really wish I hadn't made that first cut. Im trying to go straight edge on it but it really is hard. But, there is pain that no one can imagine. I understand why someone would cut themselves.

The tragic part, suicide is illegal, in the form of attempting suicide being illegal.
And why is it that whenever someone has no proof to back up their argument, they always say "I have pain that no-one can imagine!"

anyways, in the last couple of days i've been trying to figure out why people cut. i've read some of that big thread in this forum, and some other threads, and i still don't get it. of all the reasons in the world, the only one that really seems true, is a cry for attention.

personally, i fear papercuts even.
