I've never been to Brazil, only Italy, but I've LOVED Italy. One of the only countries I want to return to. My best friend studied in Brazil and she thought it was amazing. I'd probably choose Brazil if you want to do some beach-going though. Italy had some great food and shopping.

i say italy because its a beautiful place to visit. dont go to a traditional place like rome, although venice would be nice.
